Journal Policies
TEKNUSAT es a biannual electronic journal (two issues: July and December) that receives original and unpublished articles in Spanish and English. It is accessed through the Open Journal System (OJS) available at: https://revistas.usat.edu.pe/index.php/teknusat/
The arbitration system of the journal "TEKNUSAT" operates under the policy of peer review (peer review) carried out by experts in the field. The review is carried out under the double-blind peer review modality, which means that the identity of both the author and the reviewer is kept hidden, if the reviewer does not know the identity of the authors, it will prevent the reviewer from forming biases.
The peer review arranged by the Editorial Committee seeks to guarantee the quality of the articles that are published. The reviewers can be nationals or foreigners, who are 100% external to the Editorial, and are selected according to their expertise in the subject, proven through their publications and academic level. In the event that the reviewer reports any type of conflict of interest, the editorial committee reserves the possibility of exempting him from the evaluation of the article.
Manuscripts sent for review will be confidential during the process; That is why the reviewer will not be able to spread, comment or use the information included in it.
Review criteria:

General quality and academic standards;

Originalidad y relevancia, trabajos científicos de interés teórico y práctico que sean de utilidad, tanto en el ámbito académico como profesional, por su aportación al conocimiento científico e ingeniería;

Originality and relevance, scientific works of theoretical and practical interest that are useful, both in the academic and professional fields, for their contribution to scientific and engineering knowledge;

Scientific and methodological rigor, having to maintain a proper integration of knowledge;
- In addition, the reviewer must report defects in the text if they are found. Failure to comply with this last point would be a serious fault.
Editorial process:

Manuscripts are first reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and/or a member of the editorial team for suitability and relevance to the journal. Only manuscripts accepted as relevant and suitable for the journal will be submitted for peer review. (Estimated time: 2-3 weeks)

Two subject matter experts are then appointed for peer review of the manuscript. The reviewers, taking into account the review criteria described in the previous section, will recommend one of the following options: Accepted for publication; Publishable with modifications; Not publishable. (Estimated time: 1 month)

The authors who are requested to make modifications will be sent a copy of the recommendations made by the reviewers, they must make the recommended modifications, in order to continue with the process. (Estimated time: 1-2 weeks)

The reviewers will review the manuscript corrected by the author again to issue the final verdict "Accepted for publication". (Estimated time: 1 month)

Manuscripts accepted for publication will be published in the TEKNUSAT journal in the next volume and number to be published.
The scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" joins the open access movement, publishes research articles on engineering, architecture, technology, innovation, and other related original and unpublished topics in the open access modality, available for free consultation from the first issue of the magazine.
Access to the full text of all the articles is through the journal's website as well as through the open access databases, repositories, directories and indexes in which the Journal is indexed.
All accepted and published articles. The scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Catolica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo, Chiclayo, Peru is distributed under Licence Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 International, in order to promote a greater exchange of knowledge at a global level.
The authors consent that the article of their ownership be published in the scientific journal "TEKNUSAT", under the Licence Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) under the terms of copyright attribution, do not use for commercial purposes, share, mix, adjust and distribute as long as the authorship of the original creation is acknowledged.
The authors retain copyright to the article.
In case the authors wish to republish the accepted article, they must agree to record the date on which it was originally published in the scientific journal "TEKNUSAT", as well as to notify the editor of the journal about this reissue.
All articles published in the scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" are protected by national and international intellectual property rights. The authors, whose article is approved for publication, retain the copyright and give the journal the right of first publication, being authorized to share, copy and redistribute the material giving credit appropriately.
The opinions expressed in the articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily coincide with those of the editors of the scientific journal "TEKNUSAT".
This journal allows and recommends authors to share the published article through academic networks, institutional repositories and others, such as Mendeley, ResearchGate, Academia.edu or personal web pages. Doing so can lead to interesting scholarly exchanges and increased citations of published work.
The authors must declare that they have read and approved the final version of the submitted article, the letter of presentation of the article and declaration of authorship must be signed by all the authors. The authors must declare that the article is original and has not been published before and is not under consideration for publication by another journal.
The scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" has a plagiarism detection policy. All articles are scanned with Turnitin anti-plagiarism software.
The magazine "TEKNUSAT" declares the non-acceptance of plagiarism, for this reason it is necessary that all the articles submitted are submitted to the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, to avoid cases of total or partial copying, paraphrasing without proper reference and other practices of bad management and use of information. In the event that the article does not meet the originality criteria, it will not be published in the journal.

The OJS System on which the journal is implemented runs on a virtual server of the "Amazon" Hosting service contracted by the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo Catholic University - USAT, in addition, the university has scheduled the periodic execution of Backup Copies in such a way that ensures service continuity in the event of a server crash.

The magazine when using OJS, provides the tool PKP-PN (PKP-Preservation Network) that allows to preserve its contents using LOCKSS, which offers a decentralized preservation system distributed among the participating libraries and allows the creation of permanent archives of the journal for conservation and restoration purposes, perpetual access without interruptions. The PKP PN ensures that journals that are not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access.
The scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" does not charge any fees for the submission, processing, evaluation and publication (article processing charge - APC) of the articles submitted by the authors.
The journal includes in the Editorial Committee members who belong to institutions other than the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo Catholic University, this guarantees editorial openness.
The arbitration system includes 100% external reviewers to the Editorial Team of the Journal, being these nationals as well as foreigners.
The scientific journal "TEKNUSAT" guarantees that 50% of published articles have external institutional affiliation to the Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo Catholic University.
