Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it being considered by another journal for publication (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor), if it proves otherwise, the journal can subsequently delete the record
  • All the documents contained in the shipment have followed the official formats of the journal and are in Microsoft Word format. The shipment contains (1) cover letter; (2) Simple affidavit; (3) Informative data of the article; (4) Research or review article; (5) High resolution images in JPG or PNG of the figures contained in the article.
  • The submission conforms to the bibliographic and stylistic requirements of APA v.7
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • In case the Article / Review is published, the authors accept the License Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
  • All the authors have contributed intellectually to its elaboration and therefore are authors of the same and give their consent for the sending and publication of the article.
  • The submission has been written following the formats established by the journal; and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed within the text, in the place where they are cited.

Author Guidelines

  • All sections of the journal accept research and review articles. To download the formats of the documents necessary for submission as well as the templates for writing articles, review the section information for authors

  • The standards that should be used for the preparation of the writing are the standards of the latest edition of the APA (American Psychological Association). See citation guide APA v.7

  • The texts received are anonymously refereed by two experts in the specialty, or field of study, before being published, more information about the arbitration systemeditorial team and ethical criteria see the menu above. Each article submitted will be previously evaluated with the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software.

Biolegal, Biopolitics and Human Rights

This section is focused on recognizing and studying the different international guidelines related to human rights, their history and the implications at the national, local and institutional levels, with a critical sense and in defense of the dignity of the person.

Clinical Bioethics and Technoscience

This section presents articles related to the activities of the health profession, and seeks to raise awareness among health professionals to guide their practice in a more ethical and humane way.

Bioethics, Society and Environment

This section is aimed at different professionals who, due to their work, face bioethical problems or want to improve their professional practice and personal life with structured tools, in order to defend human beings and protect their dignity in these areas, as well as their contribution to the environment.

Bioethics and Education

This section will address issues related to the teaching of bioethics in the training of people involved in education. In addition, strategies can be provided for the educator to be a trainer in Bioethics from school, university and other academic environments.

Bioethics and Family

A section where the bioethical contribution is presented in the approach to problems related to human life and the family environment in which it is inserted. Opening the way to the configuration of an area of ​​scientific interdisciplinarity between bioethics and family sciences.

General Bioethics

This section deals with ethical foundations (values ​​and principles), as well as their documentary sources (legislation, international law, ethics) related to the professional practice of health service providers. It belongs to general normative ethics.

Bioethics and Media

It addresses its use and employment, as well as the responsibility that these media have towards the scientific and bioethical education of the receiving public, people who make up a society and must be informed for a competent performance in the bioethical debate that commits the person in individual and society in general.
